For a decade, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń has been successfully implementing a partnership in the area of teaching and scientific activities with Kobe University. During the scientific symposium “Harmony of Cooperation,” we set new directions for strong cooperation.
For the third and final time during our visit to Japan, we met with the Kobe University community to discuss how the university can be part of the city and how NGOs can be visible on campus.
In 1995, on the initiative of prof. Roman S. Ingarden, the Japanese Language and Culture Laboratory was established to organize teaching activities related to Japan and prepare the ground for the establishment of Japanese studies.
We began our scientific symposium at Kobe University with Japanese day. The opening panel was attended by Vice-Rector for Research dr hab. Adam Kola, prof. UMK, Vice-Rector for International Relations dr Magdalena Barwiołek, prof. UMK

Participants in the scientific symposium at the partner Kobe University are intensively preparing for their trip. On April 18, a training session on Japanese communication culture was held at the Copernican Integration Center.
Polish-Japanese activities in the fields of cultural heritage, research and education will be the theme of the symposium "Harmony of Cooperation", hosted by Kobe University on 23-25 April. The event is part of a project that Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń is implementing in cooperation with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and is held in connection with Poland's presence at the World Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
